Governor’s Wife commissions Cassava/Oil palm factories
*Promises to touch more lives through FEYREP

The wife of the Governor, Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel has commissioned the cassava/oil palm factories in Ibiono Ibom, Etim Ekpo and Oruk Aman Local Government Areas. The projects which she performed the groundbreaking sometimes in March 2017, took just two months before completion.
In Oruk Anam LGA, the grand event took place at Aya Obio Akpa Village on Thursday, 15th June, 2017 , where the Governor’s wife also commissioned the Ultra Modern ‘Urua Anwa’ market with over 200 open shades, including lock-up stores and an abattoir.
Speaking at the event, Mrs. Martha Emmanuel Expressed gratitude to God for Governor Udom Emmanuel and supporters of FEYREP and urged the people of Oruk Anam to embrace agriculture and its economic potentials, as they make good use of the oil palm processing machines.
For the remodeled ‘Urua Anwa’ market, Mrs. Emmanuel said the new stores would be given out free of charge, while promising to do more for the people.
The Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo who was the Special Guest of honour at the occasion, commended the Governor’s wife for using her pet project to add value to lives in the state. he implored the people of Oruk Anam to make good use of the facilities provided, and pledged to support FEYREP to keep touching lives.
The coordinator or FEYREP, Mrs. Ime Ephraim Inyang urged the people of Oruk Anam who are predominantly oil palm traders to take advantage of the mill and expand their trade.
Speaking earlier with newsmen, Mrs. Ime Inyang said that the oil palm processing machines would increase oil palm production in the area and also transform petty traders to entrepreneurs and wholesalers. She added that the remodeled ‘urua anwa’ market would transform the market from a weekly market to a daily market.
Describing Governor Udom Emmanuel and wife, Mrs. Martha as God-sent, Mrs. Ime Inyang commended them for their laudable gesture of transforming lives in the state, and prayed for more of God’s blessings upon them.
The obviously elated women of Oruk Anam Local Government Area sang and appreciated the Governor’s wife for providing the facilities to alleviate their stress during oil palm processing and production.
The oil palm processing factory has seven (7) processing facilities including the boil trencher, the marcher, presser, fibre separation, nut cracker and storage facilities of 5,000 litres, while the remodeled urua anwa market is made up of stores and an abattoir.
