Nigerian striker Peter Olayinka, scored an hat-trick for his Belgian side, Zulte-Waregem in their Saturday’s 7-1 win over Belgian second division side, Roeselare, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Olayinka who is on a season loan from KAA Gent, gave his side the lead in the 11th minute before doubling it in the 23rd minute. He completed his hat trick in the 51st minute after Ivan Saponjic’s scored a brace.
Goals from Sandy Walsh, Mbaye Leye and Leya Iseka sealed the emphatic win for Zulte-Waregem.
Lilian Bochet scored a consolatory goal for Roeselare in the 56th minute.
In Poland, Sone Aluko was on target for his English Championship side Fulham, in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with FC Zlin at the Stadium Groklin.
Aluko gave the Whites a deserved lead on 29 minutes before Luca de la Torre’s chipped effort doubled the scoreline in the second-half.
However FC Zlin finished the game strongly and grabbed two late goals courtesy of Robert Bartolomeu and Dame Diop. It was Fulham’s second draw of their pre-season campaign in Poland.
In Germany, Leon Balogun returned to action for Mainz who came from a goal down to beat Bundesliga 2 side Alemannia Aachen 2-1 on Saturday.
The Nigeria international featured in the first half of the encounter before Mainz new coach Sandro Schwarz introduced new players at the start of the second half.
In Belgium, Olympiakos new signing, Emmanuel Emenike, was not in action as the Greek champions pummelled KV Mechelen 6-0.
Goals from Omar Elabdellaoui, Alberto Botia, Konstantinos Fortounis, Marko Marin, Mohamed Elyounoussi and Karim Ansarifard sealed a comfortable win for coach Besnik Hasi side.
In Holland, Nigerian German-born right-back, Kingsley Ehizibue opened the floodgates of goals for his Dutch side, PEC Zwolle who defeated SV Dalfsen 8-0.
Ted van de Pavert and Youness Mokhtar bagged a brace each in the encounter while strikes from Piotr Parzyszek, Younes Namli and Mustafa Saymak completed the rout.
